CryoR took on an ambitious and confidential project, designing an innovative refrigerant system to streamline operations and slash ongoing maintenance demands.

Background:

After a thorough study verified our concept could meet the client's specifications, we began developing a new cooling system.

Challenge:

Our mission was to develop a new closed-cycle JT cryocooler to replace an existing open-cycle JT cryocooler, to eliminate the practice of replacing high-pressure refrigerant vessels. The challenge is to tailor a mixed refrigerant and a cold head, which comply with the client's restrictions and provide the required performance. In addition, in the framework of this project, we develop an oil-free compressor under strict environmental codes and tight design constraints.

Solution:

From initial concept validation at our labs to the prototype phase, we've worked closely with our client every step of the way.

Results:

The result is a state-of-the-art cryogenic system, marking a leap forward where past efforts fell short. This pivotal R&D project reflects our client's commitment, evidenced by their significant resource investment, recognizing the system's immense potential.
